Cobaw is continuing to provide all of our services, programs and support to the community throughout this pandemic. To ensure the safety of the community, all staff are having appointments by telephone or video, also known as telehealth.

Having appointments by telephone or video conference means that neither you nor your clinician/worker need to travel, ensuring that we all stay at home to minimise the risk of infection from coronavirus.

How does it work?
Your clinician/worker will guide you through how to connect for your telehealth appointment.

Our preferred method is via Healthdirect Video Call.

You will be sent a link which you simply click on and wait for your clinician/worker to join you. This same link will be used for all of your appointments.

There is no need to download any software or open an account.

What do I need?
• Internet connection/mobile phone data
• A private, well-lit area where you will not be disturbed
• Computer, laptop, tablet, mobile phone
• Web cam, speakers and microphone (already built into many devices)

Is it secure?
Yes, your video consult will be secure and your privacy is protected. You have your own private room that only your clinician/worker can enter.

Is telehealth as good as a face-to-face session?
You’ll be surprised at how quickly you adjust to having a telehealth appointment. Our staff are continually looking at ways they can deliver the full range of our services from their home to yours.

With our children’s and family services appointments, telehealth enables your clinician/worker to be fully interactive in your home space so we can even explore the toys, books and other things that your child loves, and we can come up with new ways to use them in therapy . This means that your home practice is even more meaningful.
