Are you restricted by a lack of transport or your mobility, making it difficult to get out into your community? The Cobaw Social Support program includes a series of bus outings to local and regional venues.

The social support program runs Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.30pm and includes pick-up and drop-off.  Our staff will drive you to the organised activity and assist you to make social connections within the community.

We run the program for all ages and abilities and have a number of activities and outings to choose from each term. Here are some examples:

  • Shopping
  • Bowling
  • Garden visits
  • Movies
  • Arts and crafts
  • Games
  • Exercise
  • Special events
  • Community lunches
  • Morning and afternoon tea.

Eligibility:

  • People who are older and experiencing some additional support needs related to mobility or social isolation (Commonwealth Home Support Program). For information about accessing services via My Aged Care, visit the website: https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/ or phone: 1800 200 422
  • Younger people with a disability (HACC Program for Younger People), not on NDIS.

Program Fees:

There is a $7.50 fee per program, plus meal costs. If you are on an outing there will be a program fee plus cost of activity.
