Emergency Relief is available for people living in the Macedon Ranges Shire who are experiencing an episode of financial stress.
Emergency Relief can take the form of food/petrol/chemist vouchers or assistance with a one off bill. The Emergency Relief worker can also refer people to a range of services for material aide, financial counselling, housing support, drug/alcohol information and counselling, family/relationship counselling and other health services.
As funding is very limited it is only available once in a three month period per recipient. Recipients need to bring ID to appointments (preferably pension or health care card) as proof of address and the number of occupants that make up the family unit living in the home.
