Youth Housing

The Youth Housing team assists young people age 15 to 25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Program Details

The Youth Housing program provides assistance to young people at risk of homelessness or who are currently homeless. Where possible youth workers will also work with the young person’s family to resolve conflict and explore housing options.

Housing options may include access to youth housing (limited), caravan placed in family home, board provider program, Kids Under Cover units, social/community housing, or private rental. The program also provides support to explore and engage in education/ training or employment, linkages to the community and other services, assistance to develop independent living skills.

Intensive support is provided to young people staying in crisis arranged accommodation such as a caravan, tent, couch surfing, friends, extended family short term, car and hotel/motel.

How to make a referral

Contact the Intake team by calling 03 5421 1666 or visit our main office at 47 High Street, Kyneton.

If Intake staff are not available at the time of your contact, please leave a message with your name and phone number and your call will be returned within 48 hours of your call.

If you do not have a place to stay tonight and Intake staff are not available, please let our reception staff know and they will connect you with a Housing Support worker who will be able to speak with you about some of the options available.
