Social Pedallers

The Cobaw Social Pedallers meet Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings from scheduled meeting points in the Macedon Ranges. Rides go for approximately one hour, followed by a social cuppa at a local café. Participants have cycled across Kyneton, Malmsbury, Lauriston, Carlsrhue, Hanging Rock and Woodend. Cobaw continues to provide support as required, however the enthusiasm and commitment of group members enables its existence, providing beginner riders with the opportunity to continue to ride in the Shire in a safe and supported manner.

Feedback from Cobaw Social Pedallers’ participants has highlighted the success of the group:

“The support for real beginners is fantastic.”

“I haven’t ridden for years and thought that this was the perfect opportunity to get back on the bike with the help of the AustCycle instructor and now this group.”

“I am really enjoying our rides. It gives us a reason to get the bike out of the shed and with each ride we gain a bit more confidence.”

“I am quite chuffed about the progress I have made in such a short time with the assistance and companionship of the group.”

“We enjoy a cuppa afterwards and the chance to catch up.”
