We are pleased to announce that Cobaw is offering a new education and exercise program for those with hip or knee osteoarthritis. GLA:D (Good Life with Arthritis: Denmark) involves education sessions on osteoarthritis and how improved joint stability through exercise can alleviate symptoms. This is followed by group training sessions twice a week for six weeks which focus on improving muscle control of the joint. For information click here.

Partnering with SMART Recovery Australia, from early 2020 Cobaw will be running a free weekly meeting for women to explore their alcohol misuse. SMART Recovery is a group program guided by trained peers and professionals where participants help themselves and each other to change problem behaviours using a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and motivational tools and techniques. Cobaw's new Country LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Program (CLIP), is encouraging LGBTIQ+ adults to get together for a cuppa and chat on a monthly basis. Meeting on the third Thursday of every month, 'Social@' will offer a regular opportunity for members of the LGBTIQ+ community across the Macedon Ranges to get together and connect.
