The Generalist Counsellor/Social Worker position is 0.4 EFT (2 days per week) ongoing.

About the Position and the Person
As the Generalist Counsellor/Social Worker, you will be responsible for delivering inclusive counselling and social work services using a broad range of evidence based approaches, including, but not limited to: group work, single session, case management and counselling. You will be expected to work with people in the 14+ age range.

The key expected job outcomes of this position are to:

  • Provide outcome based counselling services
  • When needed, provide effective case management support
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to provide client centered and evidence based support

  • The qualifications required for this position are Bachelor of Social Work. Other relevant tertiary qualifications at Diploma or above level will be considered if they include units of study in case management/casework practice and supervised practical placements in relevant field/s
  • Eligibility for membership to the relevant professional body or Registration Board
