Margaret McDonald

Chief Executive Officer

Margaret joined the Cobaw team in 2011 and is the Chief Executive Officer. Margaret’s role follows a diverse career in a number of disciplines, including education and health. The extensive experience and leadership gained in four government departments and a number of not for profit organisations bring a diversity to community health management. Margaret has a background in education where she spent the first part of her career.

Julie Cairns

General Manager Community Services

With a background in Social Work, Julie has a strong career foundation in direct service delivery in both central Melbourne and regional Victoria, including case management, community development and program management roles. Julie’s more recent roles have focused on systems implementation, project management and quality improvement. Julie is passionate about supporting health and community service organisations to be responsive to the community’s needs, and to think creatively about building community health and wellbeing.

Craig Nightingale

General Manager Business Operations

Craig has been with Cobaw since the end of 2017 and was appointed to the role of General Manager Business Operations in September 2018.  He leads the business and systems development required to support the organisation’s transformation towards client-directed care.

Craig qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in the UK and then went on to work in senior management roles in the field of international development, working for Oxfam, Mines Advisory Group, CARE International and Save the Children in countries including Papua New Guinea and Myanmar before moving to Central Victoria with his family.
