Employment Opportunity – Volunteer Central Vic (VCV) Coordinator

This position is 0.6EFT with a maximum term to 30 June 2021

About the Position and the Person
As VCV Coordinator you will be employed by the funded agency, Cobaw, however you will work with a number of other stakeholder organisations. The role coordinates all aspects of the VCV service, supporting effective recruitment of volunteers, training, supervision, advocacy and recognition of volunteers across the region. Funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS), the position will:

  • Increase the availability, quantity and quality of volunteering opportunities, particularly to individuals experiencing disadvantage
  • Implement, coordinate and maintain Volunteer Resource Centres
  • Provide pathways for greater social inclusion and employment
  • Develop consistent processes across the stakeholder organisations to make it easier for volunteers to engage and be engaged with services
  • Achieve greater efficiency in the use of volunteers by stakeholder organisations
  • Build local sustainability by increasing the number and diversity of volunteers
  • Attain higher client and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Fulfil the DSS funded project workplan, including required acquittals and reports.
